A Botanical Transformation in Cloth

What began as a simple piece of cloth slowly became a surface for leaves, colour and unexpexted marks.This project grew through exprimentaion — layer by layer, print by print — into something with its own character.

Mordants, modifiers, natural dyes, folds, leaves, pressure and steam all left their own marks on the cloth. Some results were planned, others completely unexpected — and that unpredictability became part of the beauty of the whole process.

This was the moment that stopped me in my tracks. I had hoped for something beautiful, but I was completely unprepared for how much I love this result.
